How do I join Walkon?
Create your profile, verify your identity, and choose how you want to contribute — your home, your expertise, or both. Applications are reviewed to maintain balance between contributions and local demand, keeping Walkon active and fair in every city.
How much does it cost?
The Community Passport is €119 per year and includes full access to host, offer skills, and request stays. Hosting is always free. When you stay in someone else's home, you only pay a fixed cleaning fee — shown upfront before confirmation. For a one-time trip, Single Exchange Access is €79.
How do skills work?
Skills allow you to earn points without hosting. You create a session, set your availability, and deliver it. Once both members confirm, the point is awarded and each member leaves a review. Skills are limited to 20 points per year to maintain balance across the community.
How do you ensure it's safe to home swap?
Trust on Walkon is built on verification, accountability, and transparency. Every member completes identity verification before joining. Exchanges only happen between confirmed members, and each stay ends with a review — creating a visible track record over time.
How does the points system work?
You earn points by contributing to the community. One night hosted equals one point, with no annual limit. One skill session equals one point, capped at 20 points per year. Points are used to unlock stays and remain valid as long as your membership is active.
Do I need to own a home to travel?
No. Both homeowners and renters can host, as long as they can offer the entire place during the stay. If hosting isn't an option, you can earn points by offering skills instead.
